Wandile Nkosi is from Ekurhuleni, Gauteng in a township called Duduza, she’s an impressive Gospel musician who and continues to travelling singing music from her debut EP called ‘Qina’ implying be strong.Since January 2008 she has been pursuing her career in songwriting, arranging and singing full time.
To date:
- She has had at least twelve(12) shows she managed to organize on her own
- Sung a national anthem for the whole of Africa on SABC Africa
- Sung on Radio Pulpit on Sipho Kaleni’s show on many occasions
- Sung on Radio 702 and Cape Talk on Jenny Crewys Williams show
- Sings in varying churches and venues around the country.
She was also invited by Siloam Ministries to lead a song on their debut CD “Elevation” and the song received an immense air play in Christian radio stations and community radio stations, and the same song has been used to market the CD elsewhere. Also, Wandile is a member and a lead vocalist of a family band called Lelapa.
She recently finished recording her debut album ‘Qina’ which she is releasing under her own independent label, TWOBB Media in 2011. Wandile writes and arranges all her songs, she wrote, and arranged the songs in her album.
TWOBB Media which she has established and is also the Chief Operations Officer is a public relations company and its subsidiary in events, publicity and artists management is called TWOBB Productions which she names after her family (Thabo,Wandi,Osiame, Bonolo and Botshelo).
On the 7th March 2009 she recorded her LIVE DVD in Springs Theater and the reviews about the show were ecstatic as well as the turn out, people drove as far as Limpopo and the Eastern Cape Town to come and see her sing. And on 2 April 2011 she hosted ‘A Night of Worship with Wandile’ in her hometown in Duduza and her home-folks received her well.
Wandile is a founder of a non- profit organization called Gosiame CP Foundation which she uses to help children living with disabilities, and she offers support to their care-givers as well
